The smell of Fruttare
Banana and Milk reminds me of banana pudding. Matter of fact, the dingy
yellow color does also, but only of the warm pudding. The milky bar has
chunks of banana which at first I thought were vanilla wafers. The fruit looks
very ripe. The cool treat has an intense banana flavor that makes the it tastes like evaporate milk. The 4-bar pack includes skim milk, sugar, water, milk, bananas,
whey, coconut oil, and corn syrup. Fruttare comes in three other flavors:
strawberry and milk, coconut and milk, and peach and milk. Generally, a box
costs about $5 or $6 dollars at the grocery store. Catch them on sale and/or
have a coupon. I recommend them for a convenient summer dessert.
I plan to make these at home. Milk and fruit, how hard
can it be!?! I purchased my Popsicle molds from the Dollar Tree and I am ready
to go. Check back later to see how The Food Temptress fruit and milk bars
turned out and to get the recipe. Which flavor of Fruttare bars will you try
first?
